Who is Ayaan Ali Saqib?

Ayaan Ali Saqib is a South Asian classical music artist known for Poonchwala, Khayal, Sitar.

Ayaan or Sufi began his musical journey at the age of 6, initially learning from Abhik Mukherjee, from 2015 he has been privileged to come under the mentorship of sitar maestro Ustad Ashraf Sharif Khan. Brought up in a musical environment, Sufi's musical development has impressed both musicians and connoisseurs for his ability to quickly grasp complex musical phrases and to develop these into his own musical framework. He aspires to bridging the sitar styles of the Imdadkhani and Poonch Gharanas into his playing.

Sufi made his performance debut in 2025 at the NCA sitar Festival in Lahore and is part of the Dars Gah Project curated by the All Pakistan Music Conference Karachi and British Council. Apart from his passion for the sitar, Sufi is presently studying Medicine at King's College, London.
