Born and raised in the East of London; Junaid distills the essence of a new, younger sound of classical music. As an upcoming tabla player amongst the younger generation, he is the student of the critically acclaimed Ustad Shahbaz Hussain and the son of prominent Ghazal exponent: Ustad Zeeshan Ali. Junaid performs both nationally and internationally, most notably at both the Karachi + Lahore All Pakistan Music Conferences. Junaid has also had the great honor of performing with many local and internationally acclaimed artists in the Indian and Pakistani classical music fields. As a representative of the Punjab and Delhi schools of thought, Junaid aims to continue his passion for tabla with the guidance of his elders.
