Forty-year-old Sain Ditta Qadri learned to play flute from his uncle, Khan Sahib Allah Ditta Khan. For Five years, starting at the age of 18, he worked for Delhi Radio, and later for the Lahore Station of Radio Pakistan for three years. He also spent four years with his master's voice gramophone company in Lahore before he began to play for films. He can play the flute to both dance and song, classical as well as folk. He has played in music scores for numerous films. He also visited China and Indonesia.
